MarchFest is Nelson’s unique craft beer and music festival. Set in the beautiful, traffic-free environment of Founders Park, the fifth MarchFest takes place on Saturday March 24th, 2012. MarchFest is completely weatherproof – all activity areas have the potential to be sheltered from sun, wind or rain. Festival facilities are geared to an attendance of at least 2,500 festival-goers.

Craft Beers and Ciders – The Nelson region is not only New Zealand’s sole hop growing area - it also has more craft breweries per head of the population than anywhere else in the country. Unlike ordinary beer festivals, ALL the beers and ciders available at MarchFest have been specially commissioned for the event and have never previously been tasted by the public! This year, all the new brews will have a special secret ingredient – the festival goer who guess the most correct ingredients will win a ‘fabulous prize’ !
