Beer for all the right reasons.

3C

Location:
Corner of Chews Lane and Victoria St, Wellington
Review:

The 3Cs of the Colonial Carrying Company are situated in the newly redeveloped Chews Lane. The building, once a shipping company office, has been elegantly renovated and will appeal to the business suits in the surrounding neighbourhood. The menu is themed on the trade routes that the shipping company once served.

The bar is DB tied and has a wide range of low-aroma beers on tap including Heineken, Tiger, Monteiths Golden, Monteiths Original, Murphys Irish Red Ale, Amstel, Erdinger.

The bar is in a lovely old building with high ceilings and a mezzanine floor with dining area. The tables and chairs have been well thought out for comfortable drinking and the leaners are a nice touch. At the Victoria St end of Chews Lane the 3C won't be getting much sun and the outdoor tables in the lane for smokers, although a nice addition, looked like a chilly experience. As winter comes though I think the 3C will be a nice bar to call into. If only they had some warming winter ales available on tap.
