Welsh Dragon

Location:
Kent Terrance (corner with Courtenay Place), Wellington
Review:

The Welsh Dragon is on an island in the middle of the road, between Kent Terrace and Cambridge Terrace.  According to the owner the building was originally built in 1926 as public toilets..not that you would know it today.

The atmosphere is very friendly and the owner goes out of his way to make people welcome - it is obviously something of a haven for travellers and ex-pats Welsh folk. Unfortuantely the bar has a DB tie, the only exception being an agreement whereby they can stock some imported Welsh cans (usually Brains SA).

The tap beers are Monteiths Original, Black & Pilsner plus Amstel and Tui.

Bottled beers: Monteiths range, Sol, Heiniken, DB Draught & Amstel.

4 stars for atmosphere, 1 star for the beer

Hours: Su - Th 6pm to 3am, Fr 5pm to 3am, Sa 4pm to 3am.
