Large, corner site bar that has, apparently, been serving "fine ales" to customers for some 120+ years.  Obviously lively during the week but quiet at weekends, hence the opening hours (Mo-Th 7:30am to 10:30pm, Fr 07:30am to late, Sa/Su 10am to 8pm-ish).  Should you happen to be there on one of those quiet times, there is quite a bit of Wellington history, illustrated in photographs and paintings, hung around on the walls, to help you fill in your time.  Live Music on Friday nights.

The bar is a Montieths bar, with all beers served on tap. Tui and Export Gold is also available.
